PTV Transport Consult GmbH is the consulting company within the PTV Group. Our mobility experts and engineers bring comprehensive know-how to all aspects of traffic and transport. With passion, they develop studies and concepts for sustainable yet economically viable mobility of the future, climate protection in transport, commercial traffic, and road safety. Visionary ideas and cutting-edge digital information technologies enable entirely new solutions for urban and regional planning. More than 130 colleagues provide clients with high-level, tailored consulting—and have repeatedly been recognized as “Best Management Consultants.” The team also provides valuable input for PTV Group’s software development.

The PTV Group is a globally leading software company for traffic planning, simulation, and management. With over 40 years of experience in mobility, the German company, headquartered in Karlsruhe, offers software products based on proprietary algorithms, covering everything from microscopic and macroscopic traffic modeling and simulation to real-time traffic management.

Since 2023, PTV Group and the North American company Econolite have been united under the brand Umovity.

Management

Peter Möhl

Chief Executive Officer Consulting

Peter Möhl has more than 25 years of experience in the mobility and transportation industry. A civil engineer by training, he began his career at PTV as a consultant before taking on various international leadership roles. He was responsible for establishing and developing subsidiaries worldwide and contributed to the company’s sustainable growth. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President Europe, overseeing the Umovity Group’s European business.

Ilona Lange

Managing Director

Ilona Lange brings over 35 years of professional experience from various companies. She joined PTV Transport Consult in 2013 and helped shape the company’s commercial structures and processes following its spin-off. In 2018, Ilona Lange was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director.
